Sheri Dew's words of encouragement
Hi Friend!
Intentional—This word has jumped out at us after hearing Sheri Dew on the Magnify podcast this week and after revisiting her landmark talk from 1999, We are Women of God. We need to “get better at an active, intentional faith,” Sheri explains.
Intention=purposeful action. Our efforts to serve, be happy, stand as women of faith, lead and teach in our homes, all make a bigger impact on our lives and those around us when we do them with faithful intention.
Time spent studying the scriptures, in the temple, and on our knees in prayer, the things we repeat over and over again, show our intention to personally know Jesus Christ and our desire to live His gospel more fully.
Lifelong gospel learning softens our hearts and prepares us to be more holy. We naturally shed the desires to put things of the world before the things of God and our hearts turn to our Savior and His example as the ultimate way of living our lives.
We are women who live our faith with intention!
